By 2030, Faculty of Economics and Rural Development envisions to become a high-ranking training and research unit in Vietnam and in regions that supplies high quality human resources; implement various research and provide scientific and technological products and services in the fields of agricultural economics, economics, management and development to meet the increasing demand for socio-economic development and international integration.
MISSION
The Faculty of Economics and Rural Development has a mission to train and to supply of qualified human resources as well as to implement innovative research and technology transfers in the field of agricultural economics, economics, management and development; and contribute to the socio-economic development, agricultural and rural development to meet the demand for industrialization, modernization and international integration of Vietnam.

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES
Ø Improving continuously prestige, training quality and reputation of FERD for supplying human resources with good knowledge and skills, creative thinking, high adaptation, lifelong study, ethics and high responsibilities to society in regards to works in the fields of agricultural economics, management, economics and rural development.
Ø Diversifying types and methods for training, and adapting flexibly demand for human resources for socio-economic development of the country.
Ø Strengthening the capacity for doing research and dealing with issues in economics, management and agriculture and rural development.
Ø Enhancing domestic and international cooperation relations
