On 25/6/2020, the seminar: “From Classroom to Farmer’s Field: Challenges and Solutions for a Climate Smart and Prosperous Agriculture in Vietnam” was held by Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)
On 25/6/2020, the seminar: “From Classroom to Farmer’s Field: Challenges and Solutions for a Climate Smart and Prosperous Agriculture in Vietnam” was held by Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) in association with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and National Coordination Office of the National Target Program on New Rural Development (NCO-NRD ). Attending the seminar were Mr. Thomas Rath- IFAD Country Director, Mr. Tran Van Mon, Deputy Director, Deputy Chief of CNR-COD, Mr. Tran Cong Thang, Director of Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD). From VNUA, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Vice President of VNUA attended and delivered the opening speech. The seminar also received the attendance of representative leader of the International Cooperation Office, representative leaders and hundreds of students from Faculties of Economics and Rural Development, Environment, Political and Social Science; and Agronomy.
This is one of the cooperative activities within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among IFAD, NCO-NRD and VNUA signed in May 2020. Certainly, there will be many practical and effective cooperation activities to actualize the goal of the signed MoU i.e. “Promote equal, reciprocal scientific and educational cooperation, relationship and mutual understanding between IFAD, NCO-NRD and VNUA, in the field of agriculture and rural development, with a focus on the National Target Program on New Rural Development”.
